Therapy sessions last for approximately one hour. The first session generally involves a consultation, during which a detailed case history is taken from you in order to allow the therapy to be planned for you as a unique individual. We would then discuss, agree and formulate the type of therapy that is best suited to you and also how many sessions of therapy may be required. Subsequent sessions are based around your progress and needs.

The actual experience of being hypnotised is very difficult to describe, neither asleep nor awake. All hypnotic states are characterised by a tremendously pleasant state of relaxation, an altered state of consciousness into which you, the individual, can allow yourself to enter so that desired, beneficial suggestions may be given directly to your unconscious mind. Thus hypnosis is a natural and effective way of making contact with your unique, inner (unconscious) self, a source of many of our problems as well as a tremendous reservoir of unrecognised potential strength and knowledge.

You can never be hypnotised against your will, and even when hypnotised, you can still reject any of the suggestions given if they are not appropriate. It's estimated that approximately 85% of all age groups will readily respond to Clinical Hypnotherapy.
